A new beginning...
What do you get when you combine over 450 products, 5215 images, 6000 manuals, 220 press releases, a brand new content management system and one-and-one half months of intense cramming by some seriously sleep-deprived web-slingers? The brand-spankin’ new BEHRINGER website!
Seriously. Sometimes, you just gotta start from scratch. The duct tape that was holding our old site together was starting to lose its tack.
There are way more than a couple reasons why we think our shiny new website is click-worthy. We hope you will check out the site and visit it often, because WE PROMISE it will be updated regularly with all kinds of useful product-related info, news and reviews, events, celebrity testimonials, tales from the road, tech tips, and postings on our brand new EARBLOG from the many musicians, recording engineers and live sound technicians that work at BEHRINGER.
This is just the beginning. Honest.
Improvements
First off, we believe the new site is a lot easier to navigate and find what interests you quickly and easily. Second, it’s been designed with ALL web seekers in mind. This includes the visually impaired (who may rely on screen-readers for their browsing), and those uber-geeks who do all their surfing by keyboard alone. (The “Skip to Main Content” link is for you champs!) We’ve also bid a temporary farewell to the quirky aneurism-inducing fly-out menus that frequently vanished just… before.. you.. almost.. got to… where… you were… AIMING! (Meanwhile, we’re looking for a good accessible menu option.) The new dropdown list at the top of each page which will get you to where you need to go lickety-click.
We’ve also rethought our product categories and our product pages are now jam-packed with product reviews, lots of photos, manuals, pricing info, related products and more. Soon we’ll be adding video, interactive hook-up diagrams and much much more.
Many of you are probably wondering where the other languages have gone. If you can read this, you’re probably not wondering nearly as much some other people. We’re working on it! New language sites will be rolled out over the next few weeks.
Look into your future…
In just a couple of weeks we will be at the Winter ’09 NAMM Show in Anaheim, California blogging live from our BERHINGER and BUGERA booths. We will bring you real-time accounts of the celebrities and stars visiting our booths and playing on our stages, and we’ll cover all the other crazy insider happenings that will be going on there as well.
Over time we’ll also be bringing you contributions from industry market makers, technical writers and celebrity endorsees about BEHRINGER gear, plus fun BEHRINGER news - like, did you know you can see BEHRINGER guitars, amps and PA gear in the movies "Sex Drive", "Step-Up 2" and "Soul Men"? How are you going to find these things out if you don’t read our blog?
We would like to point out that the EARBLOG is going to be replacing the monthly newsletter that many of you have signed up for. To reach this blog, you can access it through the BEHRINGER website, or better yet, we encourage you to subscribe to the RSS Feed.
