...And that was that! PLS comes to a close.

We're done! Today, on the final day of the show, the doors of PLS were open to the general public. Anyone who wanted to fight for parking was totally welcome! It changed the vibe around here significantly because the halls once filled with suits and ties were full of jeans and t-shirts.

And kids! Lots and lots of kids and teenagers! The lucky devils even get the day off from school to come here. No one needs affordable gear more than rockstars-in-training, of course, and if BEHRINGER is known for one thing, it's exactly that.

As the event draws to a close around 5:00, people start filing out, PA mains get shut down, and demo performances wrap-up for the last day of the festival. It's not like someone kills the power to the building or anything, but everything quiets down quite suddenly. In the brief window between the overwhelming din of the show and the after-hours dismantling of booths, a young kid approached the EUROGRAND stage and began cautiously plunking out a melody. We were closing down the booth and all ready to go home, but we let the kid stay and play for a while.

It was a nice little reminder of our musical formative years and a suitable, charming finale to our PLS show. I'm tired, my throat hurts from shouting over the din, my ears ache from said din, and I'm sure I don't smell very good. But seeing our gear in the hands of curious future musicians makes it all seem quite worthwhile.
