Once again from the land of beer and chocolate!

Welcome to ProLight+Sound, Day 3!

....And the train just keeps a-rollin'.  This place is just as packed as it was yesterday.  Fortunately, I just had my first full night of sleep since we got here, so I'm still a-rollin' myself. But guess what? Tomorrow, PLS lets the general public in.  My hunch is that will mean a lot more kids and a lot less business suits, but we'll see.

Today I've noticed significant attention drawn by our DJX750 DJ mixer.  A significant update to yesteryear's beloved DJX700, the DJX750 has a tremendously expanded effects section that allows for real-time manipulation of effects settings. The functionality offered for the price makes your head spin, like a record baby right round round round.

Dealers have also expressed heated interest in our VIRTUBE line. The VIRTUBE amps feature staggering versatility, taking full advantage of all the sonic capabilities that the digital processing world has to offer.  The main selling point, of course, is VTC Virtual Tube Modeling, giving real-tube sound without expensive maintenance or weight complications.  There’s a boatload of effects onboard, as well, like reverb, flange, delay, etc – no pedals required, and therefore – no batteries. The all-in-one nature of this series makes them a hot item around here.

Today's highlight on the BEHRINGER stage was none other than jazz duo Laura Perilli and Claus Fuss.  Many passers-by couldn't help but take pause to smile at Laura's soulful doo-wop vocal jazz stylings. Claus offers a nuanced, understated approach to his guitar, offering a comfortable foundation to support Laura's vocal technique.  ULTRAVOICE XM8500 Vocal mics allowed for detailed, clear tones to cut through the din of the PLS environment.

Tune in tomorrow, same yellow Web site, same yellow blog, to experience the thrilling conclusion to an already triumphant showing at Pro Light + Sound. Will small is beautiful unleash a Pet Shop Boys cover powerful enough to vaporize neckties? Will the cappuccino machine hold up through another day of maximum overdrive? Find out tomorrow at The Earblog!
